HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE SERIES / EVENTS?
Yes you can enter 1 to 4 events in the series
WHO CAN ENTER THE SERIES / EVENTS?
Anyone can enter the series with this series has being introduced to provide runners of all levels and abilities accessible trails with destinations suitable for a fun family day out. A defined pathway has been a focus to enable people to progress from running their first one km or two on pavement to enjoying the beautiful unsealed beauty experienced in cross country and trail running.
Distances of 3 km / 6-7 km / 12-14 km and creatively scheduled to maximise family participation.
The 3 km distance is included specifically to tempt the parkrun enthusiasts with it being identified as the perfect entry level to trails after all 5 km parkrun is still a long way when first starting out. It is also our belief a maximum effort over these distances is every bit as challenging and rewarding as the traditional longer distances.
WHY WAS THE EVENT STARTED?
The Big V Trail Series has been started off the back of the successful Bellarine Sunset Run with it's founder Dion Milne along with Athletics Victoria / Victorian Running Network working in collaboration to start a family focused trail series designed to progressively introduce and educate those new or soon to be new to off road running referred to as trail running / cross country running.

CAN WE PACK THE PICNIC AND A CHARDY?
Absolutely! if you were at the Bellarine Sunset Run picnic blankets are our trademark of a relaxing family event and we'll even provide some but if you have one bring it along. All venues have been selected for their picnicing ability.

WHEN DO ONLINE ENTRIES OPEN?
All events and the series open July 18 at 4PM
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ENTER?
As a very cost affordable series you can enter the events as a series prior to race 1 at 4X the event fee of your nominated distance, in year 1 there is no discount for entering multiple events. Family entries will need to be entered for each race as the registration system tries to come up with a solution - if one becomes available prior to event 1 we'll be sure to let you know.

DO I NEED TO REGISTER MY CHILDREN?
Yes, all participants regardless of age must be registered to be covered under the events safety compliance and regulations. Please note that YOUR children's supervision is ultimately YOUR responsibility so whilst we have course markings, marshals and aid stations please be sure to take a sensible approach to their supervision.
CAN I CHANGE EVENTS?
Yes, we understand things happen, please re-enter your event registration and confirmation email and make the changes yourself. The registration system will recognise if there is monies owing either to you or the event and prompt for payment if you upgrade, a downgrade will autopay so please keep an eye on your account 1-2 days after the change is made. A reminder participants must enter the same category with each events registration if trying to accumulate series points for a series place. You will only be eligible to receive prizes for placing in one category.
Once online registrations are closed no adjustment of money will be able to be afforded and the change can only be made via contact us or the registration tent on the day.
CAN I TRANSFER MY ENTRY OR OBTAIN A REFUND?
Yes you can transfer! You will however need to email Dion at firstname.lastname@example.org, notifying who is the runner pulling out, who is the entry being transferred to and the email address, mobile phone, postal address, date of birth and an emergency phone contact for the new runner.
Entry fees are refundable minus $20 up until not including the dates listed below 2 weeks prior to the event, this fee is charged as the event has already committed to a number of expendables plus time. On and after these dates there will be no refunds.
